Luke Chandler is Managing Director at John Deere, Australia/New Zealand and has over 25 years’ leadership experience in global agribusiness. He is a recognized expert in agricultural markets, supply chains and agribusiness strategy. Also at John Deere, Luke served as Chief Economist at Deere & Company Headquarters, in Moline, Illinois. In this position, he led a global team tasked with providing strategic guidance on economic and industry trends, policy dynamics and business risks.
Prior to joining John Deere, Luke had a number of roles with Rabobank in Australia and Europe, including General Manager Food & Agri Research ANZ and Global Head of Commodity Research. Earlier in his career he worked at the Australian Wheat Board and in the Australian wool industry.
Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of New England, New South Wales, Australia. He has served as a board member with the Farm Foundation of America and has been a director on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia.
